I have read this three times again now and am so grateful for you and for you sharing your heart this way. I can picture you driving with this poem in your consciousness, as you described, and love the simple and profound way you have shared this revelation. I hadn't thought of listening as leading to crying, but so often it can, whether it's listening deeply to myself or another's vulnerability. I cheer you on, John, and I bless God for you.

ReplyDeleteI particularly enjoyed this one, John. It is similar in structure to a poem by Vera Pavlova that I love (second one down):

I love you, John.
